Ever wish you had a tape that was worth more than one application? How about one that didn’t get all tangled up and then sealed on the front or back of the strip before you can even get it applied? Well, someone has finally come out with a product that allows you to apply it and then reposition it and then use it again and again. The product is called REtape, and it’s perfect for multiple applications like sealing bags of chips or cookies or just about anything else you want to get into repeatedly without having to apply a new strip of tape each time.

REtape

REtape allows you to do away with clips for keeping contents fresh or critters out of your food. If you’re like most people, you probably only have a handful of chip clips and you’re constantly having to double or triple up on the number of bags in your cupboards with only one clip between them. This leaves you getting into one bag while the others unfurl, leaving the contents of those bags exposed to air so that they get stale sooner than they should. With REtape, you just unroll a section to the length you need it, snap it off from the tape dispenser and apply it to the bag for repeated usage.

Food Labels

REtape can also be used as a food label for frozen foods so that you can quit wondering how long the item has been in the back of your freezer, taking all the guesswork out of past-due dates. Just grab a Sharpie or a pen and write directly on the tape and your storage date is right there. The ink won’t rub off and the tape stays securely in place until you’re ready to use it. You can use it in the fridge, too, where moisture levels are higher, without worrying that it will fall off and eventually leave your food exposed. Air coming into contact with food is what breaks it down and causes it to rot.

Storing Beauty Products

Another nifty use for REtape is the fact you can use it to secure squeeze caps on things like bottles of lotion or tubes of sunblock that you might throw into your purse or beach bag only to find that the contents have leaked out all over everything else you had stored inside the bag. It can happen from heat or the lip of the cap getting snagged on something while your digging through your bag looking for other items. This can also happen when you’re traveling. Who hasn’t unpacked their luggage on at least one occasion and found that their shampoo or conditioner has oozed out onto the other contents contained within their suitcase?

Tape Dispensers

REtape comes in a handy tape dispenser with suction cups on the bottom for securing it firmly to a variety of surfaces. The tape itself comes in segments with tabs so you can cut it to whatever length you need. The tabs allow you to pull the tape up without digging it off the surface you’ve just applied it to and shredding it or making a mess of things. It comes in rolls of 500 inches, and, because you can reuse it, you won’t need to buy new rolls constantly. It’s about time somebody came up with an invention like this.
