Ride The Wave Of The Calibowl

Here is one of those products that makes you think, “Why didn’t someone think of this sooner?”  The Calibowl looks basically like any other casual serving bowl, but with one key difference.  The important feature is in the rim.  The inside edges are specially curved inward to push food onto your utensil or chip, whichever the case may be.  It seems pretty basic, but it is actually quite ingenious.

If you have ever eaten chips and salsa you know how annoying it can be to get the salsa onto your chip, especially when the bowl is getting low.  You don’t want to stick your fingers in, but can’t resist.  If you don’t, the salsa will either slide back into the bowl or slop down the outside.  Either way, you are not getting any.

The Calibowl was created, not surprisingly, by a surfer who was quite familiar with the power of curves from riding the waves in California and Mexico.  Aside from having the innovative curved rim, the bowls also feature non-slip bottoms, are dishwasher safe, microwavable, BPA-free, and have a round bottom that allows you to easily get all of the food out.  They come in great bright colors and in varying sizes, some with lids and others with suction bottoms to further prevent spills.(See Calibowl)
