Russian Hotel’s Bronze Stallion Advertises More Than Just a Place to Stay

According to news sources, this unusual bronze statue of a muscular stallion holding a piece of rail in its mouth stands almost ten feet tall and weighs more than three tons. Its well-marked reproductive organ is amazingly familiar and quite human-like. The bronze equine was recently built in the yard of Yar Hotel, which is located in a picturesque, wooded area and is considered one of the largest and most modern hotel complexes in Voronezh. Sculptor, Maxim Dikunov, named his muscular steed creation, Yaryzh, which he claims is a moniker that symbolizes the struggle between nature and civilization.

According to the mother of the sculptor, the hotel arranged a contest for the sculpture, which best expressed the atmosphere of the hotel. Many sketches were submitted to the hotel administration, and finally they chose the stallion. The hotel’s director, Yana Chernyshova, was very happy with the statue, which according to her, actually exceeded her expectations. When the sculptor’s proud father was asked about his son’s depiction of a human sex organ on a horse, he replied:

“It is just a matter of nature and people should not stick noses in it.”

Well, it isn’t likely that anyone’s nose is going to be anywhere near this piece although many mouths will be running, as it is, if nothing else, one gigantic and somewhat naughty conversation piece!

Go figure!
