Paper towels are a kitchen (and other room) essential. They soak up messes all over the place and save your regular towels from doing the really dirty jobs. The thing is that so many of the clean-ups that you want to use paper towels for are ones where your hands are already covered in grime and goo. From wiping up after chopping raw meats, mopping up after you accidentally run the blender without the lid or scrubbing down after you finish feeding your baby a bowl of pureed peas, paper towels are the way to go. The problem is that when your hands are already a mess it is nearly impossible to grab one or two paper towels without ruining the whole roll.
The Touchless Paper Towel Dispenser holds a roll at a time and dispenses the pre-set amount of sheets with a wave of the hand. The infrared sensor picks up on the motion and unrolls a sheet (or two, or ½). In addition, unlike when you are trying to hold the roll with your knees and tear off a sheet with your teeth, the roll will not get away from you. The device holds the roll firmly in place while you tear off your sheet.
The gadget is quite sleek and stylish looking too and comes in silver, red or white. It also holds the roll upright, so it takes up less of your valuable counter space.
