Sega Home Planetarium Turns Your Bathtub Into A Spaceship

A nice, relaxing bath can make you feel like you're floating in space. To complete the experience, set up the the Homestar Aqua home planetarium on your bathroom floor.

The Homestar Aqua home planetarium is just one of several similar devices from Sega that bring the night sky indoors for your entertainment and delight. Specially constructed to function in wet environments, the Homestar Aqua is meant to be used while enjoying a typically long and soothing Japanese bath.

Four AAA batteries power the Homestar Aqua and operation is a cinch: turn it on, set it down, and adjust the focus by turning the ring along the top of the cylinder-shaped body. Once you do that, 10,000 shimmering stars will appear on your ceiling along with the celestial wonder of the Milky Way. Even your rubber ducky will be impressed!

You can order your very own  Homestar Aqua home planetarium from Amazon Japan for just 3,990 yen (around $45), a discount of 798 yen ($8.75) off the regular price. Choose from white, black, pink or blue to match your bathroom's decor scheme. (via Impress Watch)
