Typically when you go to a restaurant, you have the expectation that you'll receive service; but Slappy Cakes is trying a different format that's been applied to Japanese food in the past, and is now being introduced to breakfast.
Slappy Cakes
Slappy Cakes allows patrons to build their own pancakes right at their table, and cook them on the griddles that are built in. While patrons earn their keep by doing their own cooking, the servers at Slappy Cakes still work for their tips by bringing batter and toppings to the table. To make customizable pancakes, patrons order their batter and toppings individually.
For those who would rather eat the old-fashioned restaurant way, where someone else does the cooking, Slappy Cakes also has a complete made to order menu.
