Solar Power Helps Lessen Tree Lot Carbon Footprint During the Holidays

In San Diego, Stellar Solar is coming up with innovative ways to use their solar powered products during the holidays. This year they are powering the world's first solar powered Christmas tree lots. Contradicting idea? Maybe.

This is all happening at two San Diego Purdy Farms Christmas Tree lots. The chain saws and CFL lights are running off power provided by Stellar Solar, mobile solar stations. "The Stellar Mobile Solar Station is available at no charge to power your next event and make it instantly green" (Stellar Solar).

So no, it isn't exactly environmentally friendly to cut a tree down for holiday decor, but now, at least it can be done in less wasteful way. See a lot with the panels on this YouTube video.
