 In what appears to be a piece of lighting that might just take flight and start orbiting the room at any given moment, Japanese IDEA is offering up a very space-age solar-powered ambient orb.

Two to 5 hours of sunlight power up this small but strong lighting device, which then will give off a lovely eight hours of a soft glow, perfect for a modern interior or as a nice addition to an outdoor, garden landscape.  Additionally, the hassle of unsightly power cords and on/off switches are no longer relevant with this innovative design, as it is not only wholly mobile but also waterproof! But the real kicker?  It's yours for a mere ¥1575, or roughly $16, and comes in a variety of colors to suit every color palette.
