This one's a bit ironic. It used to be that you'd print out your photographs and choose the best ones for the limited real estate in your picture frames. With the Sony DPP-F700 digital photo frame, you can pick out your best picture in your frame and then print it out to share with friends.
The 7-inch WVGA 800 x 400 frame features 1 GB of memory and a built-in printer so that you can print your pictures on the spot. Its compatible with both Windows and Mac and supports numerous cards including Memory Stick, Memory Stick Duo, SD Card and SDH Card.
The printer provides 4 x 6 photos at 300 x 300 dpi with the push of a button. The printer is also capable of some simple editing allowing for cropping, rotating and zooming. With the included remote control, users can search their pictures by folders or marks, making finding the desired picture easier. The prints feature TruFast technology, making them stand up to fingerprints, water and discoloration from light.
While a firm release date and pricing has not been set, it has been speculated that the DPP-F700 will be available in the US in November or January.
