The Museum of Bad Art - a place that features "Art Too Bad To Be Ignored." They are a community based private institution dedicated to the collection, preservation, exhibition and celebration of bad art.
The museum was first housed in a private home in Boston, but now resides in a 1927 movie theatre, just outside the men's room.
I decided to choose a few of the works they have acquired to be included in the museum.
... Til I Was Blue In The Face
If this guy were any bluer, he'd look like a smurf! Although, this is pretty much what I look like when I'm having a bad hair day.
Roman the Pug
This looks like one of those ghost dogs that are standing in the corner of an old abandoned house. Roman the Pug was just too ugly for the family to take to their new home, so they left him there.
A l'interieur de l'oeuf
This lovely piece of work kind of looks like something you'd see in the bottom of an unflushed toilet.
The first thing I noticed about this one was the oversized arm....yeah right. Isn't this the woman who recently got into the Guiness Book of World Records for the biggest boobs?
Jerez the Clown
Since I am deathly afraid of clowns, I can totally understand why this is in the Museum of Bad Art. Who would want this guy to show up at their birthday party?
This painting reminds me of half dog, half woman. I think it's the white flowy hair that gives it a feminine look to it.
Would anyone out there travel to Hollywood to kiss those lips? And that long neck.....no wonder this blue-eyed babe ended up in the museum of bad art.
Why the long face, Blue Meanie? Blue meanie looks more like a sad soul than a meanie. Maybe he's got the blues because his tie doesn't match his two-tone shirt.
Head From Hell
Just a head from hell? It looks like the head is looking straight up into..... I'm not sure what this artist was thinking. Too much exposure for me!
A painting that totally looks like it came from a horror movie. I just watched the movie Hostel and I could definitely see this as a scene in the movie, with blood and guts flying everywhere. And me sitting in that chair getting tortured.
So there you have it. A brief preview of some of the artwork included in The Museum of Bad Art. What are your thoughts on this? Do you think some of these deserve to be included in the museum?
