Crustaceous Toddlerpede
Artist Jon Beinart creates bizarre yet fascinating doll sculptures he called "Toddlerpedes".
He started out by assembling creatures from doll torsos, limbs and heads in order to amuse himself and his friends. Over the years Toddlerpedes evolved to imitate insects and mythological creatures.
Bubbapillar Toddlerpede
What do Toddlerpedes mean to him? On his site he says, "They are my children, mini me's that I find irresistibly cute."
Beinart says that he never intended to shock people with Toddlerpedes, it is just an extension of his sense of humor.
Footsy Toddlerpede
He has been surprised at the popularity of his little friends. He is aware of the popularity that Toddlerpedes have gained all across the Internet and realizes that people think he is sick and twisted.

Scorpie Toddlerpede
Mojo Toddlerpede
These Toddlerpedes are freakishly awesome and seem to me like they should be in a Chucky movie. If I had one of these sitting in my bedroom at night, I'd definitely have nightmares. No, more like night terrors.
The more that I think about it, these might be scarier than clowns.
What is your take on Toddlerpedes? Do you think these could be the next big thing flying off the shelves in toy stores?
