Starting on his 9-city Road Show, renowned British designer Tom Dixon is now at the IMM Cologne in Germany with his Jacks.
If he becomes bored, I suppose he can always 'play' with them,
rearranging the black, white, and now orange glow plastic Jacks in
different formations, but most likely this hot designer won't have much
time for play.

Dixon's
first Jack was made in white and launched in 1994. Made from a
rotational molding process of polyethylene plastic, Jack was designed as
a 'sitting, stacking, lighting thing,' as Dixon puts it. Recently,
Dixon released Jack Black and Jack Flouro which add more
seating and stacking, and another beautifully modern, minimalist
dimension to the mix of Jacks. No additional lighting, however.

A 'sky view' of Jacks make the units seem small, but they are not: in fact, their dimensions are 20.4 inches by 22.8 inches.

Intended
for indoor use, the Jack Light White, the Jack Black and the Jack
Fluoro contribute to a versatile lighting and seating arrangement for
retail, restaurant, or home design.
