Nobody needs a car with 2200 horsepowers. You dont need that kind of car to drive and pick up food at the grocery store. A car is not a toy, it is a tool to aid in normal life.

I do not see one realistic car in this list, just a lot of junk with no real reason to exist. I do not understand the point in wasting time over pointless old men "toys" like these when there are more important matters that needs to be dealt with in the world.

I seriously reckon these cars are cool, like some one else said there not meant for average day to day driving thats why its called EXTREME CARS....DERRRR!!!! Like a peice of art you hang on the wall it admired by people who appreciate the art of car customizing.

Why is it that every custom American car relies on some obscenely-sized engine for it's power? Why not try making the cars lighter and tuning an engine properly? Take the likes of TVR or Noble; they're insanely fast but rely more on good chassis and body design than V12 powerplants. Have you Yanks never heard of composites?! I'd love to see a Sagaris (4.0 litre straight six) spank an 'All-American Hot Rod' with a V10 and trust me, it would! Don't believe me, do a Google!

Cars suck monkey balls, and these cars suck huge fat gorilla balls. Most of them look like they were designed by Liberace, and they all spent more time on the chrome and the stereos than on the fucking mechanics. From a motorcyclist, these cars encapsulate why i hate cars altogether.

To the poster complaining about American cars being wasteful, take note that the Hercules with the supercharged V10 is from Australia. Good job generalizing, though. You look really smart.

Its so good to read a comment like yours. Infact most people wouldn't believe me when i say that. Good thing Forzamotor Sport came out for xbox. For example look at the car manufacturer Ariel from Great Britain. They made a car with 250 - 300 Horsepower yet it is faster 0 - 60mph then a Porsche Carrera GT, Ferrari Enzo, Bugatti Veyron and yes .... the McLaren F1. It uses a simple Honda's four-cylinder iVTEC engine; same used in Civic TYPE R that is turbocharged. What makes the car so fast is that its under 1000pounds. It is also very easy to control , AFFORDABLE , and just very fast. Prices range from 25 000$ - 75 000$ ; Used and New. They are EXTREMELY reliable! easy to fix. It proves cars with light are better. Different parts of the world use different engines. For example in Canada and USA they use a GM Eco-tech engine and at 140 horsepower, it can go faster then a PORSCHE 911 TURBO.

I don't care how fast it is, the owner of that '63 Corvette should be beaten with a sack of oranges. The '63 split-window roadster is one of the most beautiful car designs ever, yet he managed to completley ruin it with that seizure-inducing paint job. Shame on you, sir. As for the rest of the cars, I'm going to have to go with the 1950 Mercury. As you can probably tell, I'm not big on modifications, but the "Mercules" is pretty impressive.

I love the people that are here bad mouthing these art pieces on this website. All the owners here have put vasts amount of money to what they consider art. Of course its in the eye of the beholder though you got to remember. The people talking crap about the corvette because its got a twin turbo V-8 in a heavy american car need to shoot themselves. Its is a show car, not a dragster. The worst offenders really are the people on here talking about how much of a waste of money this is when they could be doing something better. Take a look around you at what you have and tell me theres not atleast one thing there you could go with out. This is just on a bigger scale that it gets attention. So grow up people honestly, for me i love every cars individuality, if it a be an import thats got a small 1.8L motor with light chassis or huge monster domestic with V-10 they are for the people who like them and if you dont leave it to yourself.
