"The Showgirl" girl is actually a 15 year old Gypsy:P I read her wedding story in the Daily Mail.

Since your wedding is your day and you get to decide the decision why not do whatever you like and live up to whatever your reputation is. I definitely enjoyed reading your post and it got a few giggles from me too. I do have a question to ask your readers - would you consider this dress to be in the ?

so what if people like that.. what is this, The Hegemony Strikes Back? Some people are more comfortable being sexual beings than others and in many ways it is more natural. Not that I am one of those people, I am maybe almost as hemmed in by the peer pressure as some of my fellow commentators. I doubt that they put those pictures of themselves online. If they feel good about it then I am proud of them for standing up to all the jerks who are even now trying to take it away from them.

I love that dress.

So you read the story in the Daily Mail. So did I.

Now take a good look at the photo and tell me that's 15 years old.

Looks close to 30 to me...

Bravo to those girls, Nothing wrong as far as I can tell.

Nobody is tryingto take anything away from them. We're jsut calling them what they are: sluts. If you dress like a slut, you are a slut. Simple as that. You write like a slut, you must be a slut too.

but everyone else "spotted" it in 2001, when she wore that to a COSTUME PARTY. It's not a wedding dress, and was never intended to be. (And by the way, there's one "R" in "Carey." ) In fact, the post linked by an earlier commenter proves that all of these outfits are older than 2009.

And sorry, but the comment on the "No. 2" wedding dress makes no sense. "Top of a wedding cake?... " Wha......?

Many of these are not from this year, one is not even a wedding dress and what one wishes to wear at her own wedding is her own business. I would not be caught dead in any of them, but the outfit, or lack thereof, does not make anyone a slut. I've seen many weddings where a bride in a conservative dress more fit the catagory. Judging people's sex lives by what they wear is not exactly an exciting topic. Especially when the article is poorly researched.

oh my i think God is not happy when HE see brides wearing that kind of stuff. this must be the holiest matrimony, but i seems that it is aweful. they just mock it.

Honestly who are we to judge! I would never call anyone a slut because of their clothing. It's their choice no matter how we see it, it's the bride and groom that have to love it. It's more likely to be a huge lack of confidence that leads a woman/girl to dress inappropriately, not her being a slut. If a woman needs to dress this way in order to feel attractive, we should pity her, and hope she can one day develop self love. We need to as woman support other women, not pass judgement. We should be happy they love enough to marry, no matter what the dress.
