The challenge to the Imagine Cup competitors was to develop or use a technology for the purpose of bettering the lives of people in local communities around the world, addressing issues in education, health care, and environmental sustainability. Competitors definitely used their imaginations in developing projects, such as a mobile safety alert for women to a social networking application that connects entrepreneurs to investors in the micro-banking industry.
Team Mobilelife will travel to Poland this summer to compete with other finalists in the World Imagine Cup. We offer our congratulations and good luck to the UC Davis team! For a list of software category finalists, see the Microsoft announcement here.
