We've seen clothing that turn into sleeping bags before, but in a recent design competition for green emergency clothing, this concept has been one-upped with a much more practical convertible fashion item.

Jacket Converts to Tent

Winner in the So Re Fa eco-fashion show (meaning socially responsible), a line of street clothing that includes a jacket that converts into a water proof, 2 person tent is perhaps the most notable. However, it does seem to have a few design flaws, including the fact that it looks like its worn more as a scarf than a coat. With a few modifications, this could however be a great design for those who want a jacket that doubles as a tent to reduce their load when camping or portaging, and it's a great backup plan for those people who don't always have a home to go to at the end of the day.
