USB Hand Warmer Mouse Keeps Your Clicking Fingers in the Pink

It's a hand warmer, it's a mouse, it's... a very clever idea from Ever Green! The USB Hand Warmer Mouse is an optical mouse that warms up a little or a lot, depending on how low your frugal boss sets the office thermostat this winter.

You can wear a sweater, wear slippers, even wear USB slippers to ward off winter's chill but your “mouse hand” is out there, naked to the world and definitely not feeling ice, er, nice.

Lucky for you, the USB Hand Warmer Mouse has a little red switch thingy on its 130cm (52”) cable. “L” for Low will warm the mouse up to 40 degrees C (104 degrees F) and “H” for High raises the temp all the way up to 50 degrees C (122 degrees F).

The USB Hand Warmer Mouse is a fair-weather friend, and we mean that in a good way. Use it all year round – when the heater switch is at the OFF position it works no differently than most any other optical mouse.

Now for some hot specs: the USB Hand Warmer Mouse is compatible with any USB 2.0/1.1 device. It weighs 100 grams (3.57 oz) and measures 70 × 120 × 30mm (2.8 x 4.8 x 1.2 inches). Shanghai Donya is offering them for 1,299 yen or roughly $16.75 each.

Update: In the U.S., we have our own warm mouse available here.
