USB Japanese Fan Stores Data, Looks Dated

There are plenty of USB fans out there but most are of the oscillating type and none store data. Not so the Japanese Sensu USB 16GB fan.

This gracefully designed and hand-made fan adheres to traditional Japanese fan design precepts by being constructed from bamboo, wood and cotton covered by 5 layers of lacquer. The fabric displays an exquisite rendering of the gods of wind (Fujin) and thunder (Raijin) from Japanese mythology.

Pretty, yes, but inside the handle lurks a little bit of modern technology: a 16GB flash drive tipped with a USB connector. A 6-inch connecting cable is included with the Sensu fan and the package sells for 27,500 yen at GeekStuff4U, or around $295 at current exchange rates. (via Akihabara News)
