Use The Swinxs To Lure Kids From Their Video Games

If you are sick of your kids spending all of their spare time in front of the computer or video game console and are even sicker of video game companies trying to make their systems look like they encourage physical activity and social interaction then you should look into the Swinxs.  This device is a gaming system that encourages a more conventional type of play.

The Swinxs comes with a console and four colored wrist bands.  It operates on a battery that lasts for about four hours of consistent play before requiring re-charging.  The console keeps track of each participant’s actions and scores.  It includes ten games and more can be downloaded from the website.

Games include traditional favorites like musical chairs and tag, and with additional wristbands up to ten children can play at a time.  You may be thinking, “Why would my kid need a console to play tag?”  Well, if you are trying to lure your kids away from video games then another device that looks intriguing may just re-introduce the fun of tried and true games.  Plus there are educational quizzes, adventure games, music and stories that can be added to the console from the website.

Even better, additional games do not cost anything to download and you can keep track of scores when you connect to the site too.

disapointment with swinxs

Bought a swinxs and it didn’t work, (common charging fault.) There is no customer support outside of the Netherlands! Such a shame as it’s a great concept. I'm afraid I’d have to recommend people avoid unless their region is supported.
