Vegan Star Wars Shoes: Olsenhaus, The Force and The Jedi
Lone Jedi, Luke Skywalker, stands victorious and alone after the Galactic War that killed all his people, and brandishes his light saber blade made of pure energy against the dark side of the Force. In its own way, so does this socially and morally correct shoe collection comprised of printed pumps and a ballet-style flat inspired by the icons of the film classic. The Force couldn't be stronger in the shoes created by this New York--based company known as Olsenhaus whose founder is dedicated to the elimination of animal cruelty everywhere.

The Olsenhaus Mission and Elizabeth Olsen
This company, whose footwear sells on Amazon.com and has outlets in Florida and Los Angeles as well as New York, is the realization of a dream that began as one woman's compassionate desire to learn everything possible about how animals were being abused in the modern world including: laboratories, factories, farms, circuses, zoos and fur farms. Elizabeth olsen was only a teenager in a Florida high school when she embarked on this quest and what she discovered profoundly affected her moral compass and she became determined to end these atrocities.
Founded in 2008, the Olsenhaus mission is twofold. First, is to be a voice for both helpless animals and mainstream perception of the vegan lifestyle. Secondly, it hopes to draw attention to the fact that "plundering, cruelty and greed are not synonymous with true style."Elizabeth (who is no relation to the famous Olsen twins) is a brave pioneer who advocates transparent business practices as well as powerful ethical and social responsibilities when it comes to evolution into a higher state of consciousness both for mankind and planet Earth.

Even as a little girl, Elizabeth Olsen empathized with the plight of animals, especially after seeing a pamphlet from PETA on vivisection. She chose to do something about it and has lived up to that decision in everything she has done in her adult life. A student of Metaphysics and Theology all of her life, she has embraced a regimen of health and wellness for more than two decades, first as a vegetarian for 19 years and then as a vegan since 2008.
She is highly educated with two degrees; one from FIT in New York City in Accessories and Design where she learned the art of pattern-making and accessory construction, and a Liberal Arts degree from the University of Florida where she studied art history, sculpture and print-making. She has worked for major designers including: Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, Jodi Arnold and many others. Her clients include the likes of: Cameron Diaz, Anne Hathaway, Emily Deschanel, Gwyneth Paltrow, Alicia Silverstone, Colbie Callet, Ally Sheedy and Persia White, just to name a few.

The Force is upon us in the form of one brave woman with a heart as big as her vision.
