Vibram 5 Finger: Barefoot Shoe Alternative For Sport And Style

You may have gone barefoot as a child, only to be told by your conservative mom and dad that people are meant to wear shoes. Some argue that in fact, feet are not designed to be enclosed after all (aha mom & dad!), but since most places have that annoying "no shirt, no SHOES, no service rule" one sportswear company has come up with something that provides a shoed alternative to going barefoot.

Vibram Five FingersVibram Five Fingers

It might sound like an oxymoron, and well, it is since we are talking about a barefooted shoe but apparently it's what we were anatomically made for. Vibram FiveFingers, is a shoe that separates the toes (despite what's indicated by the name) so that all the muscles, tendons and ligaments in the foot and leg are used and exercised as they should be. The benefit of wearing the unique shoe is that it does provide protection to the foot, and includes grips ideal for sport that the shoe is lacking. Plus, it has a pretty funky style for sports enthusiasts.  Well worth checking out. (See Vibram Five Fingers)

Old

These shoes were in Time Magazine's top 100 inventions last year. Still great though. I have a pair myself.

Love Them!

I work for a stockist of the FiveFingers in the UK and i bought a pair the day we first got them in! Since then i have been a complete barefoot convert! I wear them for running and even take them to yoga - as they strengthen the muscles in your feet and make your feet more flexible they are fab for practising yoga.

They have helped me with various pains that i was having when running in normal running shoes (mainly heel pain). FiveFingers encourage you to land on your fore foot so you are not putting so much pressure on your heel as you do when wearing standard running shoes.

I get so many compliments on them as well! My yoga students love them and others in my running club are slowly converting to the barefoot revolution :-)

And amazingly these high demand shoes can be bought at a discounted price for a limited time from here: http://tinyurl.com/nt45hg
