Walker Stalker Cruise: Norwegian Hosts Zombie Apocalypse Sea Escape

If you love zombies and The Walking Dead (and who doesn't these days), then there are a number of different businesses that provide you with apocalypse survival experiences, and the latest is a popular cruise line that's setup one of the coolest ones to date.

While the ship and staff belong to Norwegian Cruise Lines, it's being marketed strictly as The Walker Stalker Cruise. Unlike some other activities we've seen at zombie-related events, this cruise isn't focused on survival. Rather, it's more of a convention for those that love The Walking Dead.

A schedule for the cruise has not yet been released, however, what we do know is that it runs from January 15, 2016 to January 18, 2016. It leaves from Miami and sails to the Bahamas. Once in port, non-zombie excursion options are available. Or travelers can instead choose to stay on board and take advantage of the daytime events featured.

The cool thing about this cruise is that it doesn't just have a theme. Sure, you'll find some zombie costumed performers around the ship, but you'll also lose your mind (not literally - no zombie related deaths with occur. I think.) to find many faces and names closely associated with The Walking Dead franchise. Travelers will have the opportunity to meet a number of the show's actors including Norman Reedus (Daryl), Chandler Riggs Carl), Emily Kinney (Beth), Sonequa Martin-Green (Sasha), Chad Coleman (Tyreese), Christian Serratos (Rosita), Lawrence Gillard Jr (Bob), Ross Marquand (Aaron), and others that have yet to be announced. Writers and others associated with the series will also be on board. These meet 'n greet style events will be scheduled, although with only about 2,000 passengers aboard, you never know who you might run into. Norwegian PearlNorwegian Pearl

Passengers of the ship will be treated to zombie related entertainment, but that isn't all. They'll have the chance to get in on the theatrics themselves with specialized theme nights where costumes are encouraged. Makeup artists will be available to offer their services to help everyone put their best zombie face forward.

Further information will be available about the cruise events as the date draws nearer. As of now, tickets are offered under presale. It all sounds pretty cool, but we can only hope that they add an apocalyse survival drill to their itinerary.
