“Wall Story” Removable Silhouette Stickers Turn On Your Light Switch

Wall outlet cover plates and light switch covers are about as utilitarian as home décor gets, and while plates will always be plates at least now they can be made more interesting, albeit indirectly.

Introducing “Wall Story”, removable silhouette stickers that bring visual interest to your wall plates and walls for as long as you like. That's right, they're not permanent – apply when and where you want, then peel 'em off when a change of scene is required. The stickers stick without the use of permanent adhesives so once they're gone you'll never know they were there in the first place.

Village Vanguard is offering a number of different types of removable wall stickers at their online website store but the so-called “Ojisan Series” is perhaps the most appealing. A total of 12 different miniature guy's life vignettes are rendered in blackout silhouette form.

All feature everyday scenes we can all relate to, presuming we're 2D shadows only a couple of inches tall who find getting through the day involves dealing with an obtrusive, immovable light switch plate. Hey, we've all been there, right?

Each individual Wall Story is priced at 735 yen or around $9.45 and you may want to actually count the number of light switches in your home before planning a separate Wall Story for every one of them.

(Update: These Wall Story stickers are not available yet in the US, but these fun face stickers for wall switches are definitely a fun option.)
