Want This New Innovation? Origami Paper Razors
There is nothing worse than a paper cut. It just comes out of the blue from a seemingly innocuous source and cuts you in the most insidious way. What if this power could be harnessed for good instead of evil? How, you say? Well, designer Nadeem Haidary has taken on this very challenge and has come up with -- wait for it -- The Paper Cut Razor!
Okay, that just doesn't sound as cool as it really is. The razor is all paper, not just the blade. In fact it is Origami. Yes, the basic idea behind this awesome razor is the same as that behind those little paper cranes that people make. Folding the right type of paper in just the right way Haidary has actually created a disposable razor. The paper used is waterproof so that it won't disintegrate when you rinse it off.
Such a razor could be great for the environment. It could be recyclable and reduce packaging by being sold in flat packs with some "assembly" required. Just a few quick folds and you are ready to go.
Okay, so far this product is fictional. According to Haidary his concept of the paper cut razor is meant to challenge two basic ideas -- one, that paper cuts are inherently bad, and two, that current disposable razors aren't really as disposable as they should be.
