Whiskey Stones Keep Drinks Cool and Potent

Ice cold drinks are perfect for hot summer days and get togethers with friends certainly call for a few special beverages.  The challenge comes in keeping your drinks cool when the temperatures start to rise. You really only have a few options.  You can chug your drink while it is ice cold, but this tends to lead to brain freeze and is not very favorable for sipping type drinks.  You can add ice cubes, but these water down the beverage as the cubes melt, weakening the flavor.  You can also freeze fruit or juice and add this to your drinks so that as it melts it will add an additional dimension, but not all drinks taste better with a fruity aftertaste.

If you are facing this dilemma then you may want to look into Whiskey Stones.  These clever soapstone cubes can be chilled in the freezer for a few hours and then added to drinks to keep them cold.   Though they have whiskey in the name, they can be used for other drinks as well.  They will not dilute or change the taste of your drink.

Once you are done with your cubes you can give these Whiskey Stones a rinse, dry them off and re-freeze for next time.

These do not make a beverage

These do not make a beverage cold... they only put a very slight chill on the drink.
Pretty much only good for bourbons and the like. Not a bad thing but don't expect an icy cold drink with these.
Definitely not for kids and not for people who might go into ice-eating mode and try to crunch one.

Whiskey Stones Are A Necessity For Serious Scotch Drinkers

I like them so much I have two sets! I have the Teroforma and the Sipping Stones Brand. I don't find much of a difference in the two except if I had to nit pick, I would say the Teroforma stones actually cool my drink a little more than the Sipping Stones.

A previous commenter said they do not make your drink cold. This is true and they are not designed to do this.

The optimal temperature for drinking whiskey is around 59-62 degrees. This was historically the room temperature of Scottish taverns before the advent of central heating.

Whiskey stones will bring your whiskey to this temperature. Any colder and the flavor of the whiskey gets muted with the cold (not to mention watered down if you use ice).
