It’s nearly time to put away your spade and watering can, and let nature reclaim your garden for the Winter season. But with the science of hydroponics and other indoor gardening techniques, your green thumb can shine all year. Share your best indoor gardening techniques, and you could win a nice prize pack!
As with all Instructables contests, you’ll need to make either a photographic or video guide to teach other great indoorsmen inspired methods to grow plants indoors, create hydroponic watering systems, illuminated indoor gardens and other projects related to making an awesome inside garden. At the time of writing, there aren’t as many entries as I’d like, but there really are a whole bunch of quality projects in the running, such as ChrisMentrek’s “Bog Garden For Carnivorous Plants”, mnewtonsr’s “Fish tanks are hard to clean. What would you do to get it to clean itself” and lynnfiorante’s “Cheap and easy led grow light.” Each of my current favorites clearly demonstrates a creative, fun and innovative project for indoor gardeners to try out for themselves, and that’s exactly what the judges and Instructables community will be looking for!
One Grand Prize winner will receive a Lamp Tek Kit with Seed Starter Pack & Single Mechanical Timer Triband LED Light, and an Instructables prize pack, but three First Prize and five Second Prize winners earn their own special goodies. I’m already envious of the succulent bundle that the Second Prize winners get- I love those funky little cacti!
