Wooden Bulb Casts Some Spooky Shadows

Laser-cut wood creates some dazzling shadows when they're lit.  The Wooden Bulb, created by Barend Hemmes, a South-African born, UK designer, is indeed dazzling.  And when you switch it on, it creates a mood that might be eerie to some, but intoxicating, especially if it's the only light in the room.

Arranged in groupings, the Wooden Bulbs give off the ambience of carefree party-goers, some hanging, others sitting, and still others lying down, but clearly having fun.  The Wooden Bulbs are almost as expressive as their shadows.

The waffle-shadowed, laser-cut, bulb-shaped lamps flow as one with their contents.  Doesn't that unity create the ideal lighting design?
