I understand that people are pretty juiced about the 2010 World Cup. Well, maybe I don't understand it, but I can see it. Any event that touches all corners of the world and comes just once every four years is bound to be exciting.
Is World Cup so exciting, however, that you're inspired to buy a TV that's shaped like a giant soccer ball? This TV should be good for June--maybe you can even make it relevant for the entire summer--but after that, you will have spent $600 on a big wall ball. I don't care how passionate you are about soccer, or how much disposable income you have to waste; that's just not a good decision.
While the soccer ball frame is questionable at best, the TV will provide a 1080p picture for watching all those must-see matches. Unfortunately, that big ball is bound to distract your pupils as you try to enjoy the picture.
If a soccer ball television isn't for you, HANNspree also offers monitors and photo frames for considerably less money. You can take a look at some of the other crazy tvs made by HANNspree here.
