Yubz Retro Styled Phone Handsets Get a Grip on Hi-Tech

Yubz - strange name, smart products!Yubz - strange name, smart products!
Cellphones are getting smaller and smaller but our hands are still the same size. What to do? Get a Yubz: a blast from the past retro-styled handset that may look clunky but gives you a grip on anything hi-tech can throw your way.

Yubz makes a variety of retro-styled phone handsets that are designed for comfort, not for convenience. Even so, the receivers do come in, er, handy... not everyone wants to wear a headset when using their Skype or Internet phone. The Yubz Talk Online handset is compatible with PC or MAC computers and laptops and "works with SKYPE, GOOGLE TALK, YAHOO MESSENGER, MSN, AIM EXPRESS, etc." Carrying a Yubz Talk Bluetooth also offers an alternative to wearing a Bluetooth earpiece - you know, those things that make you look like a pompous space traveler (or worse).

The handsets designed for cellphone use, called Yubz Talk Mobile, start at $44.95 and come with a wide range of adapters and connectors to ensure compatibility with whichever device you've got. You can search at the Yubz website for your cellphone's make & model before ordering. They're also available in a range of designer artist editions for $15 extra, part of the Yubz Artist Collaboration Program (YACP). According to the Yubz website, "YACP is a design royalty program that collaborates with the international talents in creating better designs for today's living."

Check out the some very cool promotional videos on Yubz' cool, innovative products!

Yubz products are available through well-known retail stores like Pottery Barn, Urban Outfitters and Neiman Marcus. They can also be bought at online retailers such as Tiger Direct, and at a host of independent boutiques listed at the website in each state. Even in, as Yubz puts it "Carlifornia" - if not a state, then a state of mind. (Buy it)

good idea, could have a version that is for in the apartment so you can take it everywhere without the cord. Perhaps a foldable version too for sometimes but just fold it once. For the apartment it wouldn't need to be foldable though but attach it to things like a handle on a dresser or a handle on a door or such while your in that area.

forgot to say it's stupid that cellphones= mobilephones have gotten so small...they could just add more stuff inside the phone when everything gets smaller, more room in the bigger versions.

Cool idea! I use my blackberry as my business line, and struggle when trying to multi-task because such a small device doesn't balance very well on the shoulder.
