Adam Norton’s Apartment Inside an Armoire

My husband and I bought an armoire a few years ago from a consignments store. We fell in love with at first sight and it appeared to be worth every penny we spent on it (a couple of hundred dollars), but alas when the center right door fell off 3 weeks ago we began to wonder if there was a way someone could restore or recycle it for us. We never imagined turning our armoire into an apartment like Adam Norton did with his.

Wireless Motion Sensor Lighting Is Ugly

Forgive me for being so bold.  I love the new wireless motion sensor lights.  They save a ton of energy and who wants to play electrician anyway?  But these gadgets are all made for closets and garages, not for living areas... except for the Indoor Wireless LED Wall Sconce.

It has several things going for it in addition to energy savings and my inability to screw up its installation. It may not be the brightest lamp in your living area, but it is bright for a lamp that is not electric-powered.  The LED lamps are comparable to a 25 Watt incandescent light, so they are suited for a hallway or small recess in a large room.

Most motion sensitive lights are not covered, and although the LED Wall Sconce has an acceptable and eclectic cover to be placed in areas where it might be considered gauche to hang a bare bulb.  The 4 D size batteries required to light the unit have a life span of about 120 hours which speaks to the efficiency of the LED's.

The motion sensor will turn the light on when it senses motion, but will not shut off for three hours, unless you manually turn it off.  Although the Wall Sconce can hang outdoors as well as indoors, the staying power of the light makes it a less practical lampt to use outdoors.

Veil Coating Turns Your Car Into a Stealth Vehicle

In "Die Another Day," James Bond had an Astin Martin that could turn invisible. While I found this to be over-the-top, even for a Bond gadget, I still thought it was a neat idea. Veil Anti-Laser Stealth Coating doesn't make your car invisible--but it sure does make it difficult to detect with a radar gun.

New Long Range Bomber May Be on the Horizon

Technology is now the driving force behind evolution. As new and better things come out, we have to adapt to them and sometimes change our entire lifestyle. If you're thinking about working at home you have a couple of ways to go about it; you can start your own, or you can buy one that's pre-existing (and hopefully successful) if you want to avoid doing the groundwork yourself. While your motivation to work at home shouldn't ONLY be because of the location, but also because of your love for the job, it does have its many benefits.

Look Ma! I Can See My Ear Wax From Here

Justin Letlow's story of his Multi-Use Ear Mirror is that while at work in his furniture making shop, he felt something in his ear. The part of his story that must have been left out is where he picks and scratches like the devil, but what was there didn't go away. Anyway, eventually the frustration of not being able to see what was in his ear led him to create the Ear Mirror. See how invention happens?

President Obama, Please Control Your Telomeres!

The media wants to know how fast our new President, Barack Obama, will age over the next four to eight years, what with the stress of the Presidency.
