Inventor News on Davison Design

George Davidson III and his company, Davidson Design and Development, Inc., has been in the news quit a lot recently. He's of particular interest in the Inventor community as a result of a lawsuit filed against them for misrepresenting its services to inventors.

On March, 2006, the US District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania ordered that Davison Associates, Inc. (now known as Davison Design and Development, Inc.), Manufacturer's Support Services, Inc., George M. Davison III, Gordon M. Davison, Barbara Miele-Davison to pay $26 million for misrepresenting its services to inventors. Davison Design has appealed the court's decision.

Ok - I know I sound a little indecisive but I've got some facts and they just don't add up. I originally came to the conclusion that Safuto can not win the American Inventor title but Thinkoutsidethecircle thinks my original draft was a little too decisive. So let me tell you the facts and my conclusion. Let me know if you agree or not.

Gorgeous Reusable Water Bottles by Sigg

Sigg of Switzerland makes the most beautiful reusable water bottles ever. Not only are they beautiful but they are environmentally friendly. Since most of the disposable water bottles are not recycled, using a resuable bottle will help filling the landfills. Also, the Sigg water bottles are healthier because there is no leaching. So when you take a drink of water from you Sigg bottle, it will taste like water and not plastic (you know what I mean).

Soil Test Kit: Product Review

For many years I have denied that my lawn was lacking in grass and overflowing with weeds. I can no longer ignore the issue. So I've been trying to improve the grass to weeds ratio but I am trying to accomplish it in an environmental friendly way. The best way to improve your chance of growing grass in a green friendly manner is to test your soil to determine its pH and determine which nutrients it's lacking. You need a perfect balance in order to enable grass to grow on your lawn. Think of your lawn as your body. You need to feed it a balanced diet in order to keep healthy. read more »

Well at least I've had a few lawn guys come around and tell me this. The problem is that lawn testing is expensive. I think last year I got a quote from a landscaper of $75 for testing a sample and since my property is on the larger side, I need more than one sample. So when I saw the Soil Test Kit on Edmund Scientific, I thought it was a no brainer.

Inflatable Home Theater

When Amused and Bemused first introduced the inflatable beer tavern, I was very impressed. However, I think this inflatable home theater beats out the beer tavern just because its more practical.

American Inventor Show - Episode 5 - Recap of Second Hour: From 24 to 12 Finalists

Are the American Inventor Final 12 Products Already on the Market?

Some of our visitors are perplexed about the fact that a couple of the “inventions” showcased on American Inventor show in the Top 12 Finalist already exist. The already existing products break down into two categories: (1) the actual inventor on American Idol is already selling the item and (2) another person is already selling a product very similar to the one on American Inventor.

American Inventor Show - Episode 5 - Recap of the First Hour : Narrowed Down from 50 to 24

Since I wrote my last article "Are the American Inventor Final 12 Products Already on the Market?" (posted April 19, 2006), we have received more e-mails and comments informing us about other products in the Final 12 that already exist that were not previously discussed. So I decided to write a follow up on the following three products:

1. Sheryl McDonald – Un-Brella (InBrella);

2. Francisco Patino - Double Traction Bike (D-Tract 2x2); and

3. Janusz Lieberkowski - Spherical Safety Seat.
