Guess what? Its the day after Thanksgiving which means the Christmas Season has started for a lot of us.

Japanese jeweler Ginza Tanaka (maker of the gold foot massager - see Have Money to Burn? Pay $130,000 for a Foot Massager) has created a couple of products to get into the Christmas spirit. Its most recent item is a 100% gold Christmas tree. The gold Christmas tree is 1.5 meters tall, made from 21 kg of gold and costs a mere $850,000. read more »

Inventor News on Davison Design

George Davidson III and his company, Davidson Design and Development, Inc., has been in the news quit a lot recently. He's of particular interest in the Inventor community as a result of a lawsuit filed against them for misrepresenting its services to inventors.

On March, 2006, the US District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania ordered that Davison Associates, Inc. (now known as Davison Design and Development, Inc.), Manufacturer's Support Services, Inc., George M. Davison III, Gordon M. Davison, Barbara Miele-Davison to pay $26 million for misrepresenting its services to inventors. Davison Design has appealed the court's decision.

A Barcelona-based space tourism company plans to open the Galactic Suite, the first space hotel, in 2012 (yes, I said space). Tickets should go on sale in 2008 for $4 million. That price includes 18 weeks preparation on a Caribbean island, the journey into space and three nights' accommodation in the orbital hotel. Could you imagine how expensive your trip would be if it didn't include the airfare?

Unfortunately, the show had dramtically fewer viewers and a significant drop in viewership from the premier episode. Is the decline in trend going to continue?

Here's how ABC's website describes episode 3: The nationwide search for America's next big invention continues with open casting calls in San Francisco, New York and Denver. Viewers will see inventions ranging from the hilarious to the tragic, and inventors from the passionate to the downright crazy.

Looks like one of the American Inventor shows' judges is not watching. A judge wrote into AI Spot and said that he could not watch the show because he was in Europe at the time. Hmmmm.
