The Tar Oven Calling the Teapot Black

The kleptocracy taps the phones of its civilians, and coerces major businesses to "voluntarily" open up all user and business datafiles for government access, listens in on all telefax, phone calls, and reads all emails, AND uses the intelligence garnered to further the business interests of its own companies, to the tune of tens of billions. Worse yet, the courts stand pigheadedly on the side of the government, ruling (as expected) that citizens have no standing to challenge these acts on the grounds that the government is breaking its own laws.

The data intensity of the "stealing" is about 1,000,000 to 1, when you compare the two countries. If indeed WTO action is initiated, don't be surprised when China also addresses the violation of the privacy rights and business interests of its citizens and businesses, by systems such as ECHELON, CARNIVOR, MAGIC LANTERN, and now INFRAGARD. Well perhaps it would be good to put ALL such practices on the table and address them.

What is good must be universal, or it would hardly be convincing.
