the dogs make it go so they can make it stop. and the rider has brakes- so you control the speed and thus the dogs gait.. the scooter is stable and easy to ride alone- and the dogs actually further stabilize it. the dogs can also only go forward- they cannot turn to pull you over to the side.
its safer than any dog out front method of mushing and or using a bicycle to road work your dog.
