My son has had reflux since 3 weeks of age. I bought the RES-Q wedge for him at 7 weeks old when my pediatrician said to have sleep upright "in his carseat." No way - we needed something that could go in the crib, be comfy and be part of a bedtime routine for at least a year. I like this wedge because of the "nest" area in it. We'd tried elevating my son's bed and would find him at the bottom of the crib in the morning. The RES-Q wedge has a little bowl like area that he can nestle in while being at the recommended 30 degrees. He sleeps great in it. The bonus is that tummy time is no longer a fight. He used to spit up every time I put him flat on his tummy. Now we do tummy time on the wedge and he enjoys it! In addition to the wedge, the consultations have given me and my son our lives back. He was eating up to 14x/day because he would eat such small amounts because of the reflux and a swallowing problem. With the guidance of the RES-Q wedge co-inventor, I've learned how to appropriately thicken my son's formula. She was tirelessly patient and helpful. Without her product and her advice - my son and I would still be in reflux hell. Seriously - he's a different baby. No more distracting him with white noise to get him to eat - he eats happily now. He's sleeping 6+ hours a night now at 12 weeks and going up to 3 hours between feeds during the day. It scares me to think what our lives would be like without the RES-Q wedge and the additional help we received. I'm so grateful!
