About two months ago I saw a similar experiment on The Science Channel that showed how an aerosol of bacteria is projected out of the toilet after flushing. Discoveries This Week I believe the series is called. The microbiologists put a flourescent dye in the toilet water and then flushed. Voila, drops of dye all over the place. They had some kind of black light camera to see it all. Like on those forensic shows. YUK.
I also read an article online about how a few years back SARS was associated with toilet flushing in China. I did a google search and there it was. (Try searching toilet flushing + SARS). Impressive invention. Hope it wins.
