Recycled Weapons Calls For Peace After Long War

After more than 30 years of civil war, ending in 1998, the Cambodian government has collected and destroyed more than 160,000 weapons across the country. In the name of peace some of those weapons were donated to the PAPC. The PAPC (Peace Art Project Cambodia) is a project that was created in November of 2003 by British artist Sasha Constable, small weapons specialist with the European Union.

Graveyards are not what they used to be. The Japanese company Ishinokoe, or "voice of stone," recently announced that it would begin offering tombstones that have a Design QR code, which basically looks like a barcode. Now this is something I've never thought about, but it's good, I guess, that someone has.... A way to tell your kids that you're going to the doctor and coming home with new boobs, a flat tummy, and (why not?) a new nose. These three cosmetic surgery procedures are so common in post-childbirth women, they have their own marketing package -- mommy makeovers.

Great Invention Idea? A New Twist on Skating

The advancements of the last thirty years have raised the invention stakes for everyone. What's wrong with that, you ask? Nothing, except that this often results in the less creative among us churning out mediocre or bad ideas when they could be doing something much more productive, like removing shopping carts from the parking lot at a local Wal-Mart! In my opinion, the following two patented inventions illustrate this point exactly.

It's a Bird, It's a Plane ... No, It's a Camera!

If you see something that looks like four hula hoops attached together with some sort of weird contraption in the middle hovering in the sky, don't automatically assume that it's a UFO.

Sure, the aliens have probably been slowly infiltrating our unsuspecting planet for many years now, but for a moment, put that thought aside. That device you see buzzing about might just be the Aeryon Scout, a new product from Aeryon Labs of Waterloo that is actually a flying camera.

Delicious or Disgusting? The Banger & Mash Cone

From Aunt Bessie's web presence and the traditional kind of British food she's known for, like steak pies, home-style chips, and baked apple pie, you wouldn't think she'd become a trendsetter in the food arena. But she has created the United Kingdom's first main course on an ice cream cone -- the Banger and Mash Cone.

The 10 Best Right Wing T-Shirts For Dogs

As the presidential race gets hotter and heavier, defenders of the right will call out the dogs to let those lefties know just what they think. Of course dogs don't have a vote, but they can bite, so you liberals better watch out. Among dozens and dozens of right wing political t-shirts for dogs, the top 10 are uniquely suited to the instinctive cleverness of a dog. Now, go gingerly ahead; these are some mean dogs!

The 10 Best Left Wing T-Shirts For Dogs

While the left and right go at it this election cycle, there are more political dog t-shirts than I've ever seen before. Pet retail is a booming business, perhaps the booming business in the U.S. right now, so it's a great time to get your leftist ideas onto a dog's back. The 10 best left wing dog t-shirts were chosen for pithiness, as well as suitability to a dog's mindset. No dogs were harmed in this process. Righties, don't take your frustration out on the dogs.
