Have More Fun in the Bathroom

Having been through potty training twice already, I came across the Potty Bench with mild amusement. This potty bench looks hip with its cool colors and sleek design. Not only does it boast “two enclosed side storage spaces for organizing potty training supplies, and a pull-out drawer for easy sanitary clean-up," but it also has a "built-in toilet paper holder and a removable soft deflector shield." Close the lid and it becomes a stool that supports up to 300 pounds.

How To Burp The Best

Every so often I see a parenting scenario that I remember to tuck in my feeble mother memory bank. These situations end up usually as parenting lessons for me – ones that I must remember to do, or ones that I really need to remember NOT to do.

Popable, Shareable and Eatable Fashion

Along with working out and feeling good on the inside it would be nice to also look good on the outside. Unfortunately, with the decline in my fitness, my sense of style has diminished too. Naturally I've turned to magazines, friends, family and the ever so versatile internet for some help. Though all the tasteful tips and advice have been useful and appreciated, nothing has been more eye opening and entertaining as the search for style on the internet, be it my style or not.

Ewaste Makes N+ew Seat

Sometimes when in search for something, such as the remote control, what you find instead: your lucky pair of frog socks, 2 dollars worth of quarters and an unexpectedly good poem you wrote several years ago, makes your search all worth while. Whether you find what you were looking for in the first place or not it feels good to know that your search still lead you to something more exciting and possibly more valuable. A few days ago my day kind of went like that.

Reading from the About My Planet online green news, I came across a strange and funny picture of a person dressed in a Selk Bag. A Selk Bag is a wearable sleeping bag. read more »

JumpSnap, the Jump Rope Without a Rope

Exercise whether it be: yoga, walking, running, aerobics or even martial arts, has always been a big part of my life. I've always found some way to stay fit, but at about every 2 years or so I hit a rut. I get distracted, perhaps bored, and I allow myself to allow work and my kids to keep me too busy to make the time to exercise.

It's been six months worth of distractions this time and very little exercise has been a part of my routine, except for the occasional sun salutation in my living room at night. In six months I feel like my body and mind have aged five years and not in a healthy kind of way. So now, I'm desperate and looking for ANYTHING to get me motivated and back in shape again, on a consistent basis. read more »

Community WiFi : IdeaWatch 2.0

What's the worst part of relying on WiFi to run your business? The unpredictability! Enter FON, a Spanish company backed by the likes of Skype and Google to develop a community-based WiFi network that literally spans the globe. And with limited penetration in the U.S., FON presents a unique opportunity for enterprising minds looking to make a little money on the explosion of wireless connectivity. read more »
