SackMasterWe just received an update about Mark Martinez, the inventor of the SackMaster, by none other than bottleslingguy (anyone who visits our site frequently knows who I am talking about). Mark was one of the Final 12 contestants in the American Inventor TV show. The SackMaster is a shovel like device that enables one person (vs the regular two) to fill sandbags. read more »

Its been a few months since the grand finale of the American Inventor show aired (May 19, 2006) when Janusz Liberkowski won the title American Inventor. Janusz is the inventor of the Anecia Survival Capsule (a safer carseat).

Everday Edisons is an inventors' show that aired on PBS. The second season will air this September. Whirpool Brand (the appliance maker) is having the 2006 Whirlpool Brand Mother of Invention Grant. It provides moms with the necessary business resources, such as seed money and expert advice, helping to make business dreams a reality. At the end of the contest, any ideas submitted will remain solely owned by the contestant. Whirpool will not own any part of the ideas.

FAO Schwarz is having a Toy Audition. It is an opportunity of a life time for toymakers to present their unique products in person to representatives of the FAO Schwarz Senior Management. You can audition even if you only have a toy design and have not manufactured your toy yet.

Programmable Liquid Container lets you customize your cola
We used to think it was pretty sweet that we had two flavor options in each package of Nerds candy, so the idea of a customizable soda with an almost infinite combination of fragrances, flavors, and colors has us understandably excited. Massachusetts-based IPIFINI (the bold is part of the branding) has exceeded our wildest dreams with their Programmable Liquid Container, which contains small, flavor additive-filled (or paint-filled, for the home improvement set) "buttons" around the periphery of the plastic container.
