Facelift in a Jar: Review of Athena 7-Minute Lift

How many times have you caught a glimpse of someone in a mirror, say in a department store, only to realize a few seconds later that the image was your own?

The other day this happened to me while shopping for my infant neice.. I took a baby dress off the rack and held it out in front of me to peruse, and as I turned toward the light I saw a woman standing across from me holding a dress in much the same way as I was... "Duh," I said to myself. "That's me."

Only this time, it wasn't me looking ten years older, needing a facelift, a makeover, and a good hair cut. I was in my mall duds, disheveled as usual, but this time I looked ten, maybe 15, years younger!

I moved closer to the mirror... It was me, alright. I looked around; no one was paying attention, so I indulged myself a little longer in this public mirror. It was my skin. It was smooth and relaxed. Those "canyons" called frown lines and brow furrows were now simply little lines.

No knives, no lasers, no face sanders.

The product is called Athena 7 Minute Lift? and I've been applying it almost every day for 14 days. And that's nothing according to Greek Island Labs, LLC, it's manufacturer, because this little jewel of a cream is supposed to provide even more youthful results in 30, 60, and 90 days!

It's not really a cream, but a lightweight putty that you mix with a little water and paint on your facial lines. From the first use, when I watched the tiniest of lines around my mouth (and my hubby's laugh lines) disappear before my eyes, the product has been doing everything it promised... reducing "the appearance of sagging skin, lines, and wrinkles without painful, expensive injections, and without dangerous muscle relaxers or harsh chemical ingredients."

In fact, the 7 Minute Lift is made up of natural botanical oils of orange, lemon, grapefruit, sesame, avocado, almond, chamomile, lavender, peppermint, edelweiss, and rose. What harm could it do to your skin?

The product promises a lot, but its results are backed by a well-known independent research lab. You can test it yourself with a "trial size" for 18.00 ($15 is later credited to your purchase of a full size) that comes with a video demonstrating how to apply the cream. Don't freak out, when you watch it. The gal in the video is Mrs. Stepford without the grin, not moving a muscle in her pretty face. She teaches you how to apply the cream and tells you not to smile or make any expressions until seven minutes are over, but she makes you want to laugh. Better watch the video and get the image of out of your mind before you apply your treatment.

After applying Athena 7 Minute Lift, or before and after, you may need a moisturizer that's richer than you previously used. I found the Lift to be quite drying. You may need a richer foundation, but you are advised against oil-based products. Other than that, I found makeup to go on quite smoothly.

I do think the trial size should cost less (it's skimpy), or maybe even be free except for shipping. After all, the product works, so there's a very high likelihood that customers will follow through for an $89.00 2-month supply (including shipping!). If you skip the trial offer and go straight for the jar, you still get 60 days to request a refund if you are not satisfied with the product, so I would opt for the latter.

One thing I did not find perfect was the customer service. Other reviews I read mentioned that the company has real-time on-line chat assistance. If it did, that is no longer operating. You can either email customer service through the website or you can call its toll free number and leave a message. I don't like the message idea. I'm the customer; why should I have to sit around waiting for someone to call me back? As for email, I made two inquiries about a week apart and received no responses.

But the product works very nicely. You can order it from the company's website or eBay (where one cannot pick and choose which testimonials to display). Athena Lift ships fast and free, so you don't have to wait too long to look ten or more years younger. And you don't have to go under the knife!

Let me know how you like the results! Or if you've found a similar product, please share it with our readers in the comments section below.
