Product Review: The JumpSnap

When it comes to a challenge, unless it's illegal or immoral, I'm pretty much willing to accept it.

So, a little over a month ago, after reading my article, featuring the JumpSnap, the jump rope without a rope, Brad LaTour of JumpSnap challenged me to actually give the JumpSnap a try. I was happy to do so and rose to the challenge. After all, what's the worst that could happen? I'd exercise more?

One trial month later, I have to say, it isn't all that bad! But it isn't all that good either. What I mean to say is that I wasn't 100% satisfied. Still, I did see potential in the JumpSnap and believe with a few minor changes I could find myself appreciating this exercise tool and using it on a frequent basis. read more »

Drink Coke for Healthier Skin?

For some people, me for example, having nice skin can prove difficult. I can't count the number of times I've been to the doctor for skin related problems. Water and vitamin E help, but they don't solve the problem. It would be nice if something came along that would make taking care of my skin much easier. A few days ago a friend sent me a link to an article about a drink that could help us all have nicer skin.

It turns out that the Coca Cola Company and L'Oreal are pairing up to develop their very own health beverage for health conscious women. It is a health and beauty tea-based ready-to-drink drink that will help us have nicer skin. read more »

Products That Help Jog Your Memory

Brain & Memory Fitness TrainerYou know the story about Chinese food, right? "The problem with Chinese food is that no matter how much you eat, in 20 minutes you're hungry again."

Have you heard this variant of the anecdote?

"I went to see the Chinese movie, Curse of the Golden Flower, but 20 minutes after I left the theatre, I forgot what it was about."

Or this one?

"We saw the film "The Banquet," and not only were we hungry 20 minutes later, but we had to see the movie again!

I used to laugh at these "jokes." Now... well, I'm a little sensitive about my memory. I can't seem to recall the names of movies, the stars, even the plots of movies I've seen recently...and these movies were not even Chinese!

JumpSnap, the Jump Rope Without a Rope

Exercise whether it be: yoga, walking, running, aerobics or even martial arts, has always been a big part of my life. I've always found some way to stay fit, but at about every 2 years or so I hit a rut. I get distracted, perhaps bored, and I allow myself to allow work and my kids to keep me too busy to make the time to exercise.

It's been six months worth of distractions this time and very little exercise has been a part of my routine, except for the occasional sun salutation in my living room at night. In six months I feel like my body and mind have aged five years and not in a healthy kind of way. So now, I'm desperate and looking for ANYTHING to get me motivated and back in shape again, on a consistent basis. read more »

I remember riding a bicycle as a kid. My first time without training wheels resulted in me hitting a telephone pool and then landing on a sewer. Good times.

Have Money to Burn? Pay $1,000,000 for a Fishing Lure

When I was snorkeling in the Caribbean, someone once told me to take off any diamonds I had because fish are attracted to them. In other words, they might try to take a bite out of my diamond ring. Well, I guess this must be true because Mac Daddy's Lures has created a new fishing lure that uses gold and diamonds to attract the fish.
