Have Money to Burn? Pay $1,000,000 for a Fishing Lure

Million Dollar LureMillion Dollar LureWhen I was snorkeling in the Caribbean, someone once told me to take off any diamonds I had because fish are attracted to them. In other words, they might try to take a bite out of my diamond ring. Well, I guess this must be true because Mac Daddy's Lures has created a new fishing lure that uses gold and diamonds to attract the fish.

The Million Dollar Lure is made out of over 3 pounds of platinum, 14 K gold and 18 K gold. It has 100 carats of diamonds and rubies (4,753 stones) and is over 12 inches in length.

They are beautiful. Don't you think? Have money to burn? Don't fish? Since I'm a cup half full type of gal, I've come up with a simple solution; buy two of them and make them into earrings. (via BornRich )

IF fish were attracted to diamonds,

wouldn't that be something already known by almost everyone? That is, wouldn't it be part of "folk lure"??
