Christmas TreeGuess what? Its the day after Thanksgiving which means the Christmas Season has started for a lot of us.
Japanese jeweler Ginza Tanaka (maker of the gold foot massager - see Have Money to Burn? Pay $130,000 for a Foot Massager) has created a couple of products to get into the Christmas spirit. Its most recent item is a 100% gold Christmas tree. The gold Christmas tree is 1.5 meters tall, made from 21 kg of gold and costs a mere $850,000.
If that's a little out of your reach, Ginza Tanaka also created a pop up gold Christmas card made out of 6 kg of gold that will only set you back $254,000. Seems like a bargain next to the Christmas tree.

How does something as ridiculous as this get approved for
Submitted on November 24th, 2006 by Anonymous Scrooge (not verified)manufacturing but something practical (like a BOTTLESLING) get rejected (or at least not approved....yet)?
It is absurd that some people can produce products like these and some people can afford to purchase them while many other people are going deeper into debt. (I just read today that the average low or middle income? family has about $8,000 in credit card debt.) Priceless.
