Hennessey Performance is known for making some of the fastest cars on the road.  Their most powerful vehicle to date is the Venom 1000TT Viper GTS, which takes the stock Viper V10 and boosts it until power reaches excess of 4 digits.  This was apparently not enough however as the Hennessey Team has released images of their new concept vehicle: The Venom GT.

One of the most compelling arguments against all Plug-In Electric Vehicles is the local grids ability to handle to extra load.  With only a few, there shouldn’t be a problem, but as more people begin to transition to plug in type vehicles, the demand for power will sky rocket with no real way to supplement it.  To combat this problem, Ford has developed a system that will actually talk to the local grid while plugged in.

NASCAR has been slowly but surely finding ways to give a little back to the environment, with the most recent announcement being to plant at least 20 acres of trees per racetrack every year. The Pocono Raceway has decided to take this kind of thinking a step farther and install a 25 acre solar array that will eliminate the need for outside power.

Keeping their hybrid development a secret has not been one of Nissan’s priorities throughout the past year.  Realistically, they have been using this opportunity to build up the suspense for the revealing of their hybrid concept.  The culmination of which has finally been realized with the unveiling of the Nissan Leaf.

Few people who have driven the Mazda MX-5 have had complaints about handling.  For 20 years, the same formula of lightweight components combined with sporty suspension has given the MX-5 superior handling even when compared to sports cars costing 2 or 3 times more.  In honor of the MX-5’s 20th year dominating the corners, Mazda has designed a new concept they plan on unveiling at Frankfurt.

Rumors about a Lamborghini built hybrid have been making their rounds for a while now, with very few words coming from Sant'Agata about it. Now, Stephan Winkelmann, Lamborghini CEO, has confirmed that a hybrid is in fact in the works.
