RES-Q Infant Reflux Wedge

The RES-Q Wedge is the only orthopedic and reversible reflux wedge on the market designed by an occupational therapist, physician and dietitian. Read the fascinating story of how and why the wedge was developed at the following site.

The RES-Q Infant Wedge ( R = reflux symptoms, E = ear infections, S = sleep disturbance, and Q = quick relief)

The RES-Q Wedge is is a washable and reusable vinyl-covered foam wedge used for the management of infant reflux. Orthographically designed, the wedge helps bring the shoulders slightly forward while providing good head molding. In addition, it helps place the cervical spine in a natural position. The wedge is also reversible. One side is designed like a parent's chest and is for "tummy time" to help strengthen muscles for gross motor skills. The other side of the wedge has a scooped out "nest" that offers containment and boundaries for newborns in addition to nice head molding. The accompanying RES-Q Sling is secured to the wedge via Velcro straps that attach within a "slit" in the wedge. The sling is adjustable up and down the incline so that the infant can be placed in the optimum position for comfort.

Genius product!

This wedge is greatest invention in the history of children! My son, who has awful reflux, never slept confortably on a traditional wedge. When we put him on a RES-Q Wedge, he slept all night the first night and every night since. He's much more comfortable, and his reflux is MUCH better when on the RES-Q Wedge. I enthusiastically recommend this product!

The Best Ever!!!

After using other wedges out there, we bought the Res-Q Wedge for our daughter and absolutely love it!!   My husband and I were getting mad every night when putting her to sleep on the other wedge because she just didn't seem comfortable or safe.  We now go to sleep happy and confident that she is sleeping well through the night!  The versitility that the Res-Q has is amazing and we couldn't be more satisfied!  I wouldn't recommend buying any other wedge other than the Res-Q, it has been a life saver for our family!

Great nights sleep

I can't tel you how wonderful this wedge has been for my son. He is 7 months old and has had acid reflux and breathing problems since he was 2 weeks old. It only took a couple of times of laying on it and he now sleeps through the night and his acid reflux is getting better. I have had the chance to talk to Robynne Elkins through email and I can't thank her enough for giving parents this amazing product. I hope all parents soon learn that if your baby suffers from acid reflux, it can be helped with this wedge, and your baby and you can be comfortable and rested again.

Relief!

I have a 3 month old daughter who was diagnosed with reflux at 2 weeks
of age. She slept well in the beginning but after 5 weeks I began to
notice she would wake up suddenly from a sound sleep. I learned this is
very common for babies with reflux. Her lack of sleep made me worry
about her development and of course I was exhausted. The first time my
daughter sleep on the wedge she took a 3 ½ hour nap! She slept soundly.
Both of my daughter's grandmothers LOVE the wedge. They both say the
same thing, "The wedge is the only way she will sleep soundly." She is
taking 3 hour naps during the day on her wedge! It is great because this
is one less thing I have to worry about at this point. The wedge has
been a true blessing to our daughter. I am so grateful to Robynne for
inventing such a wonderful product! If you have an infant with reflux I
would highly recommend purchasing the RES-Q wedge. We can put the wedge
anywhere in our home. If I want to take a nap with my daughter I can put
the wedge on my bed next to me or in the living room on the ottoman. It
fits perfectly in her crib. We have not traveled yet with our little one
but with summer right around the corner we have a few trips planned. I
will be taking her wedge with us and I am grateful it is so portable.

We're getting our life back

My son has had reflux since 3 weeks of age. I bought the RES-Q wedge for him at 7 weeks old when my pediatrician said to have sleep upright "in his carseat." No way - we needed something that could go in the crib, be comfy and be part of a bedtime routine for at least a year. I like this wedge because of the "nest" area in it. We'd tried elevating my son's bed and would find him at the bottom of the crib in the morning. The RES-Q wedge has a little bowl like area that he can nestle in while being at the recommended 30 degrees. He sleeps great in it. The bonus is that tummy time is no longer a fight. He used to spit up every time I put him flat on his tummy. Now we do tummy time on the wedge and he enjoys it! In addition to the wedge, the consultations have given me and my son our lives back. He was eating up to 14x/day because he would eat such small amounts because of the reflux and a swallowing problem. With the guidance of the RES-Q wedge co-inventor, I've learned how to appropriately thicken my son's formula. She was tirelessly patient and helpful. Without her product and her advice - my son and I would still be in reflux hell. Seriously - he's a different baby. No more distracting him with white noise to get him to eat - he eats happily now. He's sleeping 6+ hours a night now at 12 weeks and going up to 3 hours between feeds during the day. It scares me to think what our lives would be like without the RES-Q wedge and the additional help we received. I'm so grateful!

The best wedge on the market!

Hello there - I purchased the RES-Q Wege and sling from Annette at Pollywog baby back in August. I spoke to Robynne Elkin, the co-inventor of the RES-Q Infant Wedge via email a few times regarding some tricks and ideas to help me get my son to sleep on it. I am happy to say it is now time to pass my wedge on to another mommy who needs some help as my son does not need his wedge anymore. My son is actually doing much, much better. He is now 8 months and is really taking a turn in a good direction....finally. Thanks again Robynne, Dr. Troop, and Rozlyn for not only helping me with all of my questions but for an OUTSTANDING product!

I know how it was invented

Mom and Dad must have had Sex wedge from Liberator in their house and ploped the kid on it. Then Wala !!1

Heck you used the wedge to make the baby, might as well use it to help the baby sleep.

G-tube

This sounds great but my 4 month old has a Mic-Key button and is on a continuous feed at night. Can the wedge and sling accomodate that?
