Grr
I think the UNWRAPPED people should review their progamming better. If notes have been in here since 2009. That is ridiculous.... Not sure I'll watch Unwrapped any more.

Researcher, do your job!!!!
Today is Dec. 5th and they just showed the clip about the edible snow globes. What a shame. Would have ordered several for the grandkids but will have to design my own. Come on Food Network, if it ain't available, don't air it!!!! Whoever is doing your research should maybe do their JOB!!.

Remove Her Website.
If she isn't making the product, she should take that section of her website down.

CONTACTED FOOD NETWORK
I called the Food Network and asked them about the Ediable snowGlobes that had been shown on Unwrapped and asked for the website and this is what they had to say:
Ok, at the time the show was filmed, they were available through The Cookie Construction Company by a lady named Kathy Jacobs. Unfortunately, it appears that they have since gone out of business. Sorry for any inconvenience. We will add a note to our site. I will let the producers of the show know. I would assume that they would do that.(delete this part out of this segment of unwrapped) Thank you for bringing to our attention.

POSSIBLE REASON FOR BUSINESS FAILURE
If you live in California, you aren't able to have a food business that is run from you kitchen. It has to be from a commercial kitchen. I fear Kathy may have fallen victim to California's non-business-friendly atmosphere.

I just saw these shown on
I just saw these shown on Food Network....so disappointed!! My 5 year old loves snow globes and I would have paid anything for one!!
by Anonymous
Ridiculous
I just watched this show on Food Network and both they and Kathy should have done the responsible thing to post weather or not a person can actually order this great idea or not. I am very bummed that I can not order them but this now gave me an idea to simply do it on my own. Oh well.

it was on again
Yep... just saw the segment on food network and I jumped on my computer to order...... how upsetting..... looks like a fun food project the whole family could have done!!!

WOW- Unwrapped really needs some new material!
So, it's December 17th, 2010 and I just watched the 2006 episode of Unwrapped that included the edible snowglobe!! I did the same as many here and immediately got online looking for the snowglobes to buy......alas, I found this thread instead. Bummer! You know, this IS an inventor website..........someone should take up the torch and make and sell edible snowglobes of their own! :) Merry Christmas!!!

Kathy Jacobs Snow Globes
I just watched The Food Network and saw the Snow Globes on the show. Wanted to get one for my grandson. Was so disappointed to learn that she has not been making them for several years. Why is this still on Food Network?
by Anonymous
Why the need of a disclaimer?
Why the need of a disclaimer? There's nowhere on the Food Networks program that says "Order this item here..." The program you're all talking about has just aired here in Ireland on 19th December. They look like a good idea but no sales pitch to make people order. For every program maker to reveiw every programme they have made would be rediculous. Why not get in touch with Kathy Jacobs and find out if the idea has been patented? If it's hasn't been thern there's money to be made there by someone...

PS
It does also mention at the top of this page that the irem has been discontinued

still airing
Nov 26, 2011... this episode is still airing... and like the rest of you I jumped at the chance to do this craft with my kids... wish they would add the disclaimer to the episode so I didnt waste my time... oh well!

food network did it again
I thought this would be cute for my friends daughters, they also keep running an episode of unwrapped about peanut butter that featured PBLoco, that company is also no longer in business since 2009.
by Anonymous
Really?
Disclaimer??? Are you serious???? Go to a craft store and buy a plastic Christmas ornament and cut it in half! Make your own Snow Globe and stop complaining that the darn thing isn't available online...after all, how much time does it take a person to Google an item? The Food Network show lasted longer! Nuff said!
by Anonymous
This is reallly dumb! Just
This is reallly dumb! Just stop it shes gone! Get OVER IT !
by Anonymous
Oh well
Sorry she is gone, it sounded like a good idea. Sinc e Ima single dad I need all the help I can get to help with doing crafts in the kitchen with my kids.
by Anonymous
Guess What???
They're still showing it.....a whole new bunch of people to be disappointed in not being able to find it.

Reply to CONTACTED FOOD NETWORK post
Well, the Food Network DIDN'T delete, omit or post a disclaimer that Kathy Jacobs Cookie Construction Company no longer is in business. Unwrapped just featured the segment on her "fantastic edible snow globes just in time for Christmas" again.
by Anonymous
Omg
Why wouldent she keep selling them with the great advertising
by Anonymous
HuH
Did people really think that they looked good enough to buy? They looked horrible.
