Exchange Bar & Grill: Unique Restaurant Concept Where Menu Prices Set & Changed Based On Demand

With the state of the economy over the last couple of years, many people have found themselves taking a closer look at the prices of items that they once took for granted, because suddenly they don't seem to be quite so affordable. Many families have had to give up basic luxuries like eating out and this further affects the livelihood of the hospitality industry. Since the economy affects consumers and businesses alike, there's one restaurant that generates their prices based on trends.

Augmented Reality For Tablets Goes Where No Man Has Gone Before

While Augmented Reality technology has been a topical point of interest these last couple of weeks at events like SWSWi in Austin and CTIA Wireless 2010 in Las Vegas, there has been very little talk of the suitability of utilizing AR features with the new tablets that will be flooding the market in the next couple of months. Granted, iPad's sin of omission by not including a camera or webcam kind of eliminates them from consideration, but it seems to me that the 10" tablet versus the 3" smartphone screen would provide users with a greater opportunity to view AR overlays, markers, advertising, points of interest and other layers of data that AR is known for.

Cause and effect are two of the mainstays in scientific discovery. Assumptions, speculations and likelihoods are the business of gossip columns and not of objective reporting. With that said, one has to question the stories submitted by Britain's Sun, Daily Telegraph, The Independent, and today's article in the Daily News in New York, titled, " Facebook blamed for rising STD rates in Britain."

USA Today's Commitment To Social Media

In my previous blog, "Is USA Today's 'Social Media Lounge' A Little Late To The Party?" I talked about how some legacy newspapers like USA Today were in somewhat stalled position as to how best to work with social media. With USA Today's launch of their Social Media Lounge, I questioned if they were simply 'testing the waters' or jumping in with both feet. In a subsequent interview with Alexandra Nicholson, manager and social media strategist for the paper, she clarified some of these points and confirmed the paper's commitment to social media.

Mirakle Couriers: Elite International Courier Service With A Deaf Team

Although the establishment of new technologies and general acceptance of people who are "different" by society has allowed the hearing impaired to maintain successful careers; there's still a stigma that they might not be as capable. One business in India is looking to chance these perceptions by providing their HR with strict instructions when hiring.

Social Search Wars: Aardvark vs Yahoo Answers vs Mahalo vs ChaCha vs Formspring.me

During the last ten years, search engines have basically provided us with information retrieval (IR) from strangers. We have relied on the credibility of these search results based on algorithms determining their relevancy and authority. In turn, content producers learned to optimize their pages to obtain higher page rankings. Over time, satisfied with the premise if 'Google says its so, who's to argue?' we accepted what was delivered. However the need for human interaction is not lost to the 21st Century and the desire to connect through search is evident with the entre' of a new type of IR - appropriately named 'social search.'

There are some men that are just too manly to accept regular items that could be perceived as effeminate. We've seen companies that make candles with a look and scent designed specifically with men in mind, and now there's a business that appeals to different senses!

Cougars & Co: Social Networking & Matchmaking For Women On the Prowl!

Older women have had their way with younger men for decades, just think about the movie "The Graduate". While it's becoming more of a mainstream trend with formal noun usage and all and a TV show based on the dating desires of women; it can still be a challenge to find that young boy toy for even the most inventive of cougars.

With unique users of 73.5 million on Twitter and 400 million on Facebook, it doesn't seem feasible that in 2010 organizations would not be utilizing social media as their primary branding tool . Yet a good number of firms and regions around the world are still sitting on the proverbial fence. Why?
