A new type of vending machine has gotten the attention of federal Drug Enforcement Administration agents.
Vincent Mehdisadeh, the owner of the Los Angeles Herbal Nutrition Center, created a vending machineto serve his customers who have prescriptions for medial marijuana. The vending machines are now located at three spots throughout the city.

Drug Enforcement Administration Agent Jose Martinez said the agency wants to know more about the machines. "Once we find out where it's at, we'll look into it and see if they're violating laws," he told The Associated Press.
Mehdisadeh says everything is above board, however. Anyone who is approved to attain medical marijuana who is already registered in the computer database at his dispensaries can buy the drug beforehand and pick it up anytime at the machines.
