St. Patrick's Day Hits the Sneakers Market - Six Stylin' Shoes for the Drinking Holiday

Normally considered a "small" holiday by every brand and company, besides Bud Light, Guiness and every other beer producer that turns their infamous drink green for 24 hours, it appears St. Patrick’s Day may be beginning to gather more of a marketing presense.

Especially in the shoe market. Here's what some are doing to make shoes go Irish:

1. Puma - Show off your Glitter!

The Puma Sky 2 sneakers are green with a ton of gold accents, including a large gold swoosh, sparkly laces, and very detailed glittering patterns. Even the Puma cougar logo is gold.

But the St. Patrick's Day shoe would not be complete, without the back of the shoe featuring a shamrock and across the Velcro tongue closure is a lucky pot of gold.

2. Reebok - Celebrate the Irish!

This specially designed pair of Reebok's reinterprets the colors of the Irish flag in neons. The brightly colored orange and green side-stripes, heel logo reading "Reebok", and tongue graphic of a leprechaun are all 3M reflective. In addition to the the leprechaun, the lining also features a repeat pattern that is very fitting for the holiday - beer mugs!

This year, Nike celebrates St. Patrick’s Day with this Women’s Nike Air Stab shoe. The shoe features green and gold as the main colors, with four leaf clovers printed on the sides of the shoe.

Another Nike Air shoe created to celebrate the holiday in style is the Airbox 90.

6. Reebok - Kiss Me I'm Irish

This Reebok Classic tennis shoe is spreading the love with it's "Kiss Me - I'm Irish" messaging on the heel of the green and white shoe.

What do you think of these St. Patrick's themed tennis shoes? Do you sport green and white on your feet for the holiday? Have you seen any other large brands create holiday themed shoes? Would you wear these?

Airbox 90

How much is this shoe and where can I purchase it?

Talk about ulgy shoes

Who would buy these shoes for just one freakin' day of the year? Besides, they're all ulgy, the only slight exceptable one is the Airbox 90 and even it could do without those shamrocks/clovers.

I agree

Plus, who would even think of wearing these shoes, they're seriously tacky.
