Whirpool Brand (the appliance maker) is having the 2006 Whirlpool Brand Mother of Invention Grant.

It provides moms with the necessary business resources, such as seed money and expert advice, helping to make business dreams a reality. At the end of the contest, any ideas submitted will remain solely owned by the contestant. Whirpool will not own any part of the ideas. [adsense:120x240:1:1]

Whirpool is welcoming all new product innovation, invention, service or business ideas EXCEPT those relating to appliances or appliance components. Any appliance ideas will not be considered.

Grand Prize Grant: $20,000 Also includes a Whirlpool Duet® or Cabrio™ washer and dryer pair, a Whirlpool® Fabric Freshener and a $3,000 stipend for a new home office.

Two First Prize Grants: $7,000 Each grant also includes a Whirlpool Gold® PowerScour™ dishwasher and a Whirlpool Duet Sport™ washer and dryer pair. T

wo Second Prize Grants: $5,000 Each grant also includes a Whirlpool Duet Sport washer and dryer pair. The names of the winners and their hometowns will be announced September 8, 2006.
