Red Bull Art Gives You Wings

Since 1997, Red Bull has held a competition in various cities to see what people come up with for art using Red Bull cans. The final works of art for some of these are pretty cool.

The goal of the competition is to build the most interesting sculpture from Red Bull cans.

From their site , "Judges review each piece based on the three Cs – Creativity (overall idea behind the piece), Conceptual execution (how well the piece translates the idea) and Construction (the quality of production/final presentation)."

They encourage people to be bold and make a statement using Red Bull cans.

Here are some pictures of the Red Bull Art Of Can past contest entries.

The next contest will be held in Houston, TX from July 11-25, 2008. More information can be found at their site.

I'd love to enter this, but I'm not really that creative with things like this. Besides, I'd probably have all my supplies ready to create something magnificent, slice my finger on the can, and have to drop out of the race.

Who knows, maybe you could be the next winner. Go out, buy some Red Bull and drink up!

But you better hurry, registration ends April 6th, 2008.
